You're invited to the 2024 U.S. Senior Challenge, June 3-6 at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, VA. With a typical player roster that looks like a "who's who" of national senior players, the WAGR power ranking is sure to rival the top senior amateur tournaments in the world.

Now in its 39th year, The U.S. Senior Challenge was the nations first senior amateur golf tournament giving 4-man teams from different states the opportunity to compete against each other. Much like a college format, The U.S. Senior Challenge is a tournament within a tournament, where both team and individual champions will be crowned. FORMAT: The best three of four scores will determine the team total. There will also be a medalist in each division. This is a national senior amateur ranking tournament so each competitor must hole out regardless of score. Players may register either as part of a team or as individuals.

"The U.S. Senior Challenge gives an elite senior golfer the rare opportunity to not only represent their state but also play in a tournament using a college format," said Cory Armstrong, Executive Director of Sun Country Amateur Golf Association. "The tournament has continued to grow and with the USA Today Sports/Golfweek partnership we expect it to continue to get even stronger."

Mike Quinlan who is the Executive Director of the U.S. Senior Challenge said, "We're looking for more state captains to step up and put a competitive senior team together. It's similar to the now defunct USGA State Team Championship. We always felt it was important to have a tournament where the best players represent their state."

"We're excited to partner with the U.S. Senior Challenge and The Sun Country Golf Association," said Armand Cimaroli, Director of Events for USA Today Sports/Golfweek. "Their mission in support of Senior Amateur golf has helped us shape a partnership that will continue to grow as it stretches into the future."

The River Course at Kingsmill Resort is the former home of 38 PGA and LPGA tour events. For more than three decades the River Course has hosted the world's best players. Pete Dye, the renowned course designer tweaked the site just enough to make for a truly unforgettable round of golf. With impeccable conditioning and spectacular scenery, The River Club at Kingsmill Resort will become a favorite must play for each competitor.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The U.S. Senior Challenge is certified by The USGA and R&A as a World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) counting tournament leading to 25+ exemptions into the 2024 U.S. Senior Amateur to be held August 24-29 at The Honors Course in Ooltewah, Tenn.
